Weekly Blog - Sum 1/Week 4

The first week of May has been and gone so let's catch up on everything that has been happening at Shoreside in this week's blog.

This week we have had pupils attending tournaments for hockey and judo, so well done to the sporting superstars who represented school magnificently.

We've had a fantastic day in school today as we celebrated Sir David Attenborough's 100th birthday. Many of our pupils enjoyed joining a live assembly with pupils from across the country as we celebrated the national icon!

Loveridge Cup Final - Haig Avenue - Monday 11th May

Shoreside Football Team have reached the final of the Loveridge Cup! They are playing at Haig Avenue on Monday 11th May at 5pm.

If you would like to come and support, tickets are available on the door. Prices are £2 for adults and £1 for children. If you wish to pay cash, please bring the correct amount.

If you have any questions, please contact the school office.

World Bee Day - Wednesday 20th May

Following the success of our support of World Bee Day last year, we are once again inviting Shoreside pupils to support and celebrate our class charity, Bebe’s Hive CIC. On Wednesday 20th May which is World Bee Day, Y5 have planned an exciting day of activities, including a visit from Southport & Formby Beekeepers Association. On this day, we invite all children to wear their own clothes and encourage yellow clothing, if possible, in support of our charity. We are also asking for a voluntary donation of £1 which will go to Bebe’s Hive CIC.

We hope you have a lovely weekend and we look forward to welcoming back all pupils to school on Monday for another exciting week of learning. We hope you enjoy looking back on some of last week's highlights below.
