Weekly Blog - Sp 2/Week 2

With the excitement of World Book Day now over, it's time to look back at the highlights of Week 2 at Shoreside.
World Book Day
We had a fantastic time on Thursday for World Book Day. Thank you to everyone for their efforts with such fantastic outfits. We're also really grateful to the parent volunteers who surprised our classes at the end of the day as 'secret readers'! We would also like to thank Mrs McGough from Christ the King High School who came to school today (Friday 6th March) to gift every child with a book for World Book Day. We hope our pupils enjoy reading them!
Progress Evening
We hosted Progress Evening this week on Tuesday and Wednesday evening. It was a privilege to hear all of the conversations buzzing around our two halls as we celebrated your child(ren)'s progress this academic year. Thank you to all the parents/carers who completed our feedback forms which we have read through as a staff team. We will be looking at actioning requests in the coming weeks and we will share these back with you soon to let you know what our next steps will be.
Homework Projects
As we do every alternate half term, we will be publishing our optional homework projects next week. We are very conscious it is a very short half term and this does not allow time for pupils to complete any of the projects they choose so therefore the deadline will be set for the first week back after Easter giving the pupils the option of doing any during the Easter holiday if they choose to do so! Please look out for these homework projects which will be coming home next week.
Messy Science Morning - Saturday 21st March
A quick reminder from our Key Diary Dates that we are fast approaching our Messy Science Morning! Hosted in our School Hall from 10AM-12PM, we have fun activities for the whole family. We hope to see you there!
We hope you have a wonderful weekend and enjoy watching the highlights of another brilliant week at Shoreside! See you all on Monday.
