Weekly Blog - Sum 2/Week 5

As we continue to head towards the end of the academic year, there has been lots of exciting things happening in school to share!

This week saw the launch of our brand new trim trail! Pupils have loved having the new equipment to enjoy and all classes have enjoyed playing on it this week. Well done to the sporting superstars who represented school at netball (Wednesday) and pickleball (Friday) events this week. Year 5s enjoyed a Taster Day at Birkdale and Greenbank High School, as well as a performance at Sing for Sefton where they sang on The Atkinson stage.

Thanks to everyone who brought in donations for our Summer Fair today, we really appreciate your support.

We've also held our PTFA AGM in school and there are exciting plans for the year ahead. This year's committee have done a superb job at raising such vital funds for school, including generous donations to the trim trail and beyond! You will hear more about this in our end of year newsletter.

The highlight of the week, however, has to be Madagascar Jr where over half our KS2 pupils performed magnificently. Many performing on the stage for the first time, we were so proud of our incredible company. Well done to each and every child involved!

Key Diary Dates

Friday (10th July) is Shorestock Returns, followed by our Summer Fair. After last year's theme of Queen, this year we are having an Abba themed Extravaganza and every class in school will be performing an Abba classic!

Main playground gates open at 1.45 with the show starting at 2:00 on the school field!

Please remember to bring picnic blankets and chairs with you.

The children have been working hard and can’t wait to share their performances with you.

Please note that gates will closed at 2pm, after that time, access will only be gained through the school office. After performing, children will return to their classrooms and then they will be dismissed, with the hope that families will then visit our Summer Fair on the field.
