Weekly Blog - Sum 1/Week 5

It's the end of the penultimate week of Summer 1 and the end of SATs week for our Year 6 pupils. Read on for lots of information about forthcoming events!

A huge well done to our Year 6 children for the way in which they have completed their SATs this week. We are incredibly proud of each and every child in the cohort who showed great determination throughout the week. They enjoyed a lovely day at the beach today to celebrate their achievements!

A big well done also to all of our Shoreside sports stars for the past couple of weeks. We have had children out for judo, hockey, boccia and football. Well done to everyone who has represented school.

Next Week

Looking ahead to next week, Sports Day is taking place on Monday. Please see ParentApp for our most recent message which contains both indoor and outdoor timings which will be applied dependent on the weather on Monday.

On Wednesday, we will be joining lots of Southport's community in marking World Bee Day and we have lots of exciting events planned for pupils. Children are invited to wear their own clothes with yellow clothing particularly encouraged! A donation of £1 is suggested which will be donated to Bebe's Hive.

Finally, Thursday is our final day of term and Friday is an INSET Day. Lots to pack into our final four days and we're really excited for them!

Next Half Term

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that, thanks to generous contributions from our brilliant PTFA, we now have a confirmed date for the installation of a brand new trim trail. The design, which was selected by our School Council, will be installed in the penultimate week of June meaning there will be some weeks remaining this term for children to enjoy it before we finish for summer! Watch this space!

For now, we hope you have a wonderful weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone back in school on Monday. We hope you also enjoy watching over the highlights from Week 4.

Fingers crossed for sunshine on Monday!
