Weekly Blog - Sum 1/Week 1

Summer Term is here and it's been a fantastic first week back at Shoreside!
It has been a great first week back and it's been wonderful to see how well pupils have returned after the Easter holiday.
Thank you to all of the parents/carers who brought bags of clothes in for our Bags 2 School collection organised by the PTFA. All money raised will go into the PTFA's donations to school funds which you can read more about below.
Key Diary Dates - Summer Term 1
A quick reminder of the key diary dates for this half term can be seen below.

PTFA - Meeting - Tuesday 21st April - 7:30PM - The Spitfire
There are so many enriching experiences and enhanced facilities that Shoreside pupils enjoy which are largely thanks to the dedicated group of the PTFA and within this week's blog, we wanted to personally highlight their incredible impact.
The PTFA has funded major additions to our school that our regular school budget simply cannot cover, most notably:
-
Our Outdoor Classroom: A fantastic space that allows us to take learning outside.
-
Our New Trim Trail: Thanks to a recent major donation from the PTFA, this exciting new play equipment is currently being manufactured and will be installed in the coming months!
However, the reality is that the PTFA relies entirely on one thing: the generosity of your time. Without parent volunteers stepping up to help, this committee simply cannot function. Whether you can spare a single hour to help at a fair or assist behind the scenes, any contribution makes a profound difference.
With this in mind, we would strongly urge anyone who can contribute in any way to attend the upcoming PTFA meeting on Tuesday. Please come along if you can offer any amount of time to ensure this vital committee can continue providing incredible opportunities, resources, and lifelong memories for all of our pupils.

If you have any questions about the meeting, please don't hesitate to get in touch with the PTFA using the contact details above.
For now, have a great weekend and we hope you enjoy looking back at the highlights from the final week of last term, which includes a gymnastics trip and our incredible scientist visit!
