Weekly Blog - Su1/Week 4

The penultimate week of Summer 1 has finished and it's been a busy week, especially for Y6 who have been sitting their SATs! Let's find out more about the week with our weekly blog post.

Well done to our Year 6 pupils who have done brilliantly this week with their SATs. We are really proud of each and every child in the year group who have all taken the tests in their stride. They enjoyed a day at the beach on Friday to celebrate their hard work.

Elsewhere in school, preparations have already started for Shorestock which is a brand new event - the combination of our Summer Extravaganza and our Summer Fair. Held on the afternoon of Friday 11th July, Shorestock will see every class in school performing hits by Queen! We can't wait to see you all there.

Before then, may we remind parents of three key events taking place next week...

Sports Day - Monday 19th May

With sun expected, we recommend applying suncream to your child in the morning as they will be outside for Sports Day. Here are the key details:

  • All children to wear PE kit to school on Monday (PN/N to wear comfortable clothing).
  • Parents/carers are invited to join us.
  • Entrance via the playground gates. For the KS2 session, parents can stay after drop-off and take their seat on the school field.
  • Bringing your own camping chairs is encouraged!

Timings:

  • KS2 (Years 3-6) - 9:15 - 11:30
  • KS1 (Years 1-2) - 1:00 - 2:15
  • Early Years (Pre Nursery, Nursery and Reception) - 2:15 - 3:00
